Microneedling Offers Fairly Immediate Results

Skin Rejuvenation For a Youthful Glow

Microneedling creates tiny traumas within the surface layer of the skin in order to activate the skin’s natural healing response, which produces collagen, elastin, and growth factors to thicken the dermis and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Microneedling also offers benefits such as:

  • less damaging than other skin resurfacing treatments such as lasers, ablation, or dermal rolling
  • quicker healing
  • varying needle depth can achieve a variety of results
  • can be used on all skin types and tones

An Alternative To Painful Laser Treatments

How Does The Procedure Work?

  1. Your provider will clean the skin and apply a topical anesthetic to keep you comfortable during the procedure.
  2. Depending on the area and skin concern, the Microneedlign device will be moved over different penetration depths. Light penetration is used to deliver skin serums beneath the surface, medium penetration is used for light scarring and sun damage, and deep penetration is used for tightening the skin, eliminating stretch marks, and decreasing the appearance of facial scars.
  3. Although you may notice results immediately after treatment, it can take about 1-2 weeks to notice results and up to 3-6 months to achieve tightening of the skin. Depending on your treatment plan, a minimum of 3 treatments spaced 3-6 weeks apart is generally recommended.
Results You Can Depend On

After treatment, you can expect the following:

  • Your skin will be red, hot, and sensitive. The amount of redness will vary with the level of penetration used during the procedure.
  • Bronzing, or tiny areas of pinpoint bleeding that dry and darken, can occur for 2-4 days afterwards.
  • You must avoid excessive sun exposure for the first 72 hours
  • You must avoid sweating for the first 12 hours
  • Makeup can be worn after day four
